Masterclass
MasterClass is a stage conference that revisits and reexamines the academic and professional trajectory of an artist working in the field of performing arts. The proposal brings together knowledge and experience rooted in Peruvian theatre—with its strong cultural and identity-driven foundations—and German physical theatre and dance theatre, known for their technical rigor, expressive depth, and openness to multidisciplinarity.
Developed in collaboration with Miguel Rubio, director of Yuyachkani, the project combines elements of performance and pedagogy to offer an experience that transcends traditional formats. Conceived for theatre students and institutions in Latin America and beyond, the lecture aims to serve as an educational tool for contemporary performing-arts training.
Through an autobiographical narrative and an interdisciplinary staging, MasterClass systematizes theatrical knowledge while building bridges between performing traditions from diverse cultural contexts. It invites reflection on technique, identity, and creativity, proposing new ways of integrating these dimensions into contemporary theatre pedagogy.
The project, currently in development, seeks to establish itself as both an artistic and pedagogical reference, inspiring new generations of artists and fostering international dialogue across performing-arts traditions.
